In the city of KALEIDO, two territories, two universes of different nature overlap and merge together. The result of this contamination creates a new environment, similar to an ecotone, where the two realities meet, integrate and generate new properties.

The species richness, diversity and abundances tend to peak in this environment, to the point where new forms and scales may evolve, completely altering the perception of the city from one inhabitant to another. In fact, you’re perceiving your own KALEIDO.

Writing a book is a horrible, exhausting struggle, like a long bout of some painful illness. One would never undertake such a thing if one were not driven on by some demon whom one can neither resist nor understand

Area of transition and contact between two neighbouring ecosystems, such as the edge of a forest, a reedbed, etc. (Ecotones have a richer fauna and flora than either of the two ecosystems they separate, and they sometimes repopulate the two).

If the city is like some large house, and the house in turn like small city, cannot the various parts of the house -atria, xysti, dining rooms and so on- be considered miniature buildings?

The world is a combination of clarity and disorder, of rational and irrational, of Apollo and Dionysus. It is only with the contamination of chaos, that harmony can truly be fruitful. While the opposition of those two parallels can create a gap within ourselves, the pairing of them helps creating a balanced and prolific world, in which the subconscious helps the conscious.
