Tout cela ils avaient l'impression de l'avoir déja vécu. Et leurs paroles semblaient s'immobiliser dans les traces d'autres paroles d'autrefois. Ils ne faisaient pas attention à ce qu'ils faisaient. Mais bien à la difference qui voulait que leurs actes de maintenant fussent du présent. Et que des actes analogues eussent été du passé. Ils se sentaient grands, immobiles. Avec au-dessus d'eux le passé et le présent comme les vagues identiques d'un même océan.
